Subsequently, he completed his residency in Thoracic Surgery University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee where he also served as the Chief Resident. He is board certified and Diplomate of American Board of Thoracic Surgery & American Board of Surgery. He practiced cardiovascular surgery in Ohio and Missouri before moving to the DC metro area where he practiced advanced vascular surgery. He is a skilled endovascular surgeon with advanced skills in central and peripheral angioplasty, atherectomy, and stenting techniques. Dr Gursky also has advanced knowledge in wound care/hyperbaric medicine where he was chief of wound surgical care in the past.
